The Terremplo project continues to make significant strides in 2025. Our partnership recently convened to discuss the project's remaining activities, focusing on communication updates and impact reporting.
Upcoming Activities
In the next two months, we will organize follow-up Hub meetings in the participating territories. These meetings will focus on reviewing the draft strategy, which will be discussed and validated by our associated partners and colleagues.
Spring 2025 Milestones
The main recommendations and local implementation elements of the Terremplo Strategy will be published on our website in Spring 2025. Additionally, wrap-up meetings will be held to support the launch of the strategy to all our stakeholders across France, Belgium, and Ireland.
Global Youth Employment Trends
As we progress with our project, it's crucial to consider the broader context of youth employment. The recently published Global Employment Trends for Youth 2024 report by the International Labour Organization (ILO) highlights some important findings:
- The global youth unemployment rate has decreased to 13% in 2023, representing a 15-year low.
- Despite this positive trend, the number of young people aged 15-24 who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET) remains a significant concern.
The report emphasizes the need for continued efforts to create decent work opportunities for young people, aligning with the goals of the Terremplo project.
As we move forward with our strategy, we remain committed to addressing the challenges highlighted in the ILO report and creating positive change for young people across our partner regions.
Stay tuned for further updates on our website and social media channels as we work towards launching the Terremplo Strategy in the coming months.
