Terremplo

On Monday, December 2, 2024, the first Walloon hub of the Interreg ENO Terremplo project took place in Villers-le-Bouillet. This meeting brought together representatives from organizations supporting young NEETs (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) to co-develop a strategy aimed at improving their sustainable and non-precarious employability.

Key moments of the meeting:

  • Focus on young NEETs: The importance of rebuilding their self-confidence was emphasized, particularly through innovative approaches such as collaborative games and animal-assisted therapy. Participatory workshops and initiatives like visits to training centers were also discussed.
  • Adapting to business needs: A special focus was placed on employee retention and aligning the expectations of businesses with the skills of young people. Proposals such as mentorship programs and the use of virtual reality to showcase lesser-known professions were explored.
  • Mobilizing the territory: Participants highlighted the importance of reaching young people in their own environments, including through social media and local events. Strengthening collaboration between training operators and support structures was deemed essential to creating a robust support network.

This meeting laid the groundwork for a space of consultation and collaboration, which will continue during the next hub scheduled for February 4, 2025, in Villers-le-Bouillet.
