Terremplo Study Visit to Pays de la Loire

From June 17th to 19th, 2024, the Cube Consultants team had the pleasure of welcoming the partners of the Terremplo project for a study visit to Pays de la Loire. This event made it possible to highlight innovative initiatives and good practices in terms of training and professional integration, particularly for young people in vulnerable situations.

Discovery of Innovative Initiatives at Le Mans Innovation

The visit began at Le Mans Innovation, a space dedicated to innovation and economic development. The director of Le Mans Innovation presented the current projects, followed by interventions from the Inalta du Mans association and the Community of Communes of Erdre and Gesvres. The first two presentations provided a better understanding of the actions put in place to support vulnerable young people in Sarthe.

Immersion at the Rural Family House of Pré en Pail: Vulnerability in rural areas

The following day was marked by a visit to the Rural Family House (MFR) of Pré en Pail. This training establishment is a model of integration and active pedagogy, offering professional training programs adapted to the needs of rural areas. The partners were able to discover the different training courses offered, ranging from orientation to horticulture and landscaping professions. The MFR de la Chauvinière stands out for its approach based on work-study training, personalized support and its commitment to the professional integration of young people.

Visit to the WOOD’UP School and the Community of Communes of Erdre and Gesvres

The last day began with a visit to the WOOD’UP wood school in Châteaubriant. This school, opened in September 2022, offers training in carpentry and carpentry, integrating young people into concrete and practical projects. The partners were able to discuss the challenges and opportunities linked to professional training in the wood sector.

Then, the delegation went to the Community of Communes of Erdre and Gesvres (CCEG) in Nort-sur-Erdre. Discussions focused on the skills needed for the future and professional integration strategies, with particular emphasis on the importance of soft skills. The partners also addressed the difficulties encountered by young people, particularly in terms of mobility and access to employment.

A study visit which made it possible to deepen Terremplo's work in rural areas and across a very large region

This study visit was a unique opportunity to strengthen links between the partners of the Terremplo project and to share experiences and innovative practices. It also highlighted the challenges and opportunities linked to the professional integration of young people in Pays de la Loire
